Gearbox Releases a Massive Collection of Concept Art from Borderlands 3

For fans of the series, Gearbox's newly-released collection of concept art from Borderlands 3 will offer a wealth of insight into the game.

While it only launched just under two weeks ago, Borderlands 3 is already off to an incredible start with a massive five million units sold in its first few days, giving us an idea that fans have waited quite a while for the next installment in the series. However, if you can’t get enough Borderlands, there’s plenty more where that came from with a huge drop of concept art that shaped the direction of the long-awaited third installment in the series.

Gearbox Software released a huge collection of concept art, renders, and more from the development of Borderlands 3, which for fans of the series should be a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes looks at the third main chapter of the series.

The full concept art gallery is available on an official ArtStation page created by Gearbox, and features dozens of sketches, illustrations, renders, and more with weapons, character models, and other pieces created by the Gearbox art team during the game’s development. While some of what is shown obviously didn’t quite make it into the final game (or seems to have been changed drastically since it was first made), the collection is still an interesting destination for fans of the series that want to see how Borderlands 3 evolved over the several years that it was in development.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
